What need rebuilding..more accurately are the pistons and a reboring of the block. Thank you for indirectly answering another question concerning the difference in flywheels for I have in front of me a flywheel from a 68 and the original from the 58 93. The lighter flywheel teeth are slighlty chipped and I wanted to swap the flywheel when I discovered the difference.
I thank you for this help for I'm addicted to these classic Saabs, and qualified knowledge is scarce.
