Hi all,

I used to frequent this site religiously while resto-modding my 1971 96. I lived in San Francisco at the time (around 2006?) and did all the work in a tiny laundry room including engine overaul, paint in the engine bay etc haha. I rebuild the engine (full balance, Isky cam, rally replica exhaust, ported heads etc. I had a Weber 34 and a whole lot of carefully collected parts (wheels, rally sterring wheel etc.). I was moving with my job out of country and the car had to go due to lack of storage space. you know the story.

I now really miss the car and would love to own that exact car again. I sold it to a gentleman. in Ohio (Athens Ohio I think), but his email is now lost.

Has anyone seen a gray (bad paint, original color was beige / sand) but with killer parts? I'd love to see the beast again or better yet own it.

any information appreciated. It could turn out to be an interesting story.

I've got some pictures which I'll try to post as well.
