Oh no! Now you're probably wondering what you got yourself into! And probably cursing me!
The front hubs can be tough. Saab made a really nice heavy-duty puller that works slick- there's one on eBay right now, but it's expensive. Wish I had one.
Years and years ago, when I was just a lad with my first VSaab, I made up a puller that has worked for me over the years. It attaches with 3 lug bolts (not 5) and has a big screw in the middle. The trick is to put quite a bit of tension on it with the screw, then give it a whap with a hammer and it will usually pop off. This thing is pretty ugly and every time I use it, I'm a little embarrassed at the lack of fabrication skills I had 30 years ago. If you feel you don't have any options, I could loan it to you and you could give it a try.
I don't think heat is a good idea. You'll mess up the wheel bearing seals as a minimum.
