Has anyone done or perhaps looked into changing a ring and pinion set in a v4 gearbox? I am curious how possible it would be to change a r&p set so that the ratios of all the gears end up being a little higher than stock. I was thinking how nice it would be if 1st wasn't geared quite so low, and also if 4th gear resulted in a little slower engine speed which would, of course, result in improved highway mileage. This is just brain storming at this point, but how feasible would this even be. Is this a crazy idea?
