Well, I sure don't want to burn out the Pertronix unit.
It's backfiring through the carb big time, and I think that means the timing is way retarded. If I rotate the distributor counterclockwise to advance the timing, maybe I can keep it running long enough to put a timing light on it.
Also, it's running on new valves that have about 500 miles on them. I should probably do a valve adjustment first.
It's cold out there in the garage, but this must be done!
