The clutch master is very simple to rebuild at home, and you can find kits for doing so on ebay.uk for pretty cheap (same master cylinder was used in some British cars). For something this simple, I'd only send it to a shop if if the bore has been ruined by corrosion or scoring.
The brake master is much more complex inside, and would be worth sending out.
