early door locks

Carl, those early locks are really a pain in the neck. It was a case of over engineering. You have to simply unlock it from the door, with it closed, with the key. Keep in mind if the door is locked with the key, then unlocked from the inside, when closed, it won't re-open from the outside. A good tip to consider is keeping a window down when working on the car.
