Opinion on new 9-3 armrest w/storage compartment

After having lived with the new armrest for a few days (Christmas present), it is not perfect, but I am glad to have it. With the 5-speed, it does not get in the way of shifting unless you have it slid all the way forward. 2/3 - 3/4 of the way forward is fine.
PROS: easy to install, top pad is at a comfortable height (at least for me), matches the interior well (even with the cloth interior), extra storage is nice, sliding top tends to stay where you put it (even though it doesn't "lock" into place
CONS: storage compartment is small (will only hold a sunglasses case and a couple of smaller items or 3 cassette tapes laid flat), peg holes on hinges are not covered like on the original console lid, it is slightly in the way when fully engaging the emergency brake, you lose the back seat drink holder (such as it was) that was in the original console lid (not much of a loss)
Installation: As others have said...very easy. Just carefully pull the original console lid off by bending and wiggling the hinges ono either side of the rear seat air flow vent at the back of the console lid. When you get the hinges off the pegs, just slip the hinges of the new armrest/lid over the pegs.
