Also, please understand that this forum is a generalized bitch session/group therapy that while informative is not indicative of the overall reliability of these cars since those who participate are representative of adverse selection in the universe of SAAB car service issues. People without issues seldom take the time to write about not having any problems. Moreover, SAAB owners are often perfectionists who are very demanding of others and themselves and are often intolerant of incompetence in others. Thus your SAABowneresque reaction to your dealership's failings to date is quite typical. If you bought a SAAB, you probbaly have set high expectations for yourself and others and you are not likely to accept mediocre service. Gently tell the mechanic in charge of working on your car that unless he fixes it righ the first time, you will ride him like Steve Spurrier rides a less than perfect quarterback. Tell these guys what you expect and tell them that you want a loaner until they have remedied the problems you cited. Don't be nice and polite and then act like a passive-aggressive Swede or (dare I say it, Canadian (sorry, but Canadians are sometimes just too damn patient and polite) who has avoided conflict but has managed to get all worked up over piss poor performance.
