I actually spent Sunday in the back seat of my Viggen, and had a friend drive it so that I could pinpoint a pesky rattle. It's clearly seatback latch related, since when I sat on the left rear side, it stopped. And it also stopped when I put the seat down. Hmmm. I'm assuming a temporary fix would be to shove a small handcloth or something near the latch so that it anchors the seat more tightly.
And I also heard the right rear oh sh*t handle creaking...hadn't heard it before until Sunday. Damn...should have stayed in the driver's seat!! I also watched the hatch vibrate as the car went over bumps. Clearly the rear end of the car could use some reinforcement (which I'm sure will come in the next model year).
I blame Boston's crappy roads for it, not Saab build quality entirely. I think any car that deals with the "landmines" we have to drive through is going to face some sort of issue, particularly when the car has such a hard suspension. I've also bent two rims, so that in itself tells you the state of our beloved road system here.
