I've been taking my 99 9-3 to DTSSI. Overall, I have not been impressed with their professionalism. Ron, the service manager, is very gruff. Like many 9-3 owners, I have taken my car for rattles and other assorted stupid things that are not mechanical. Sometimes they get fixed. Other times they do not. Most recently, I had a long "debate" about what is excessive noise and what's not with the Service Manager. While ultimately they decided to fix the problems, (which BTW, I'm told to feel lucky about) I don't think this should have been an issue. Cars can be rattle free. But Saab doesn't seem to be able to build them so their cars are quiet. I was informed by the Service Manager, that Saab thinks rattles are normal. Oh.

Another thing that irks me about Downtown is how when I complain about something and they can't find it, they simply shrug it off on the work order with a "customer complaint could not be duplicated." Not good enough, IMHO. Call. Ask. Don't just throw up your hands and send the car back. This, however, is not likely to be unique to DTSSI.

As for DTSSI, I'd give them a 6 out of 10. I certainly don't fee "valued". As for the 4 bucks for the washer fluid... I have never had to pay for this. So it seems like you were taken advantage.

I bought my car from Budds in Oakville, having known Chris Budd for many years (this is Saab number 3). But since I live in the city, I've been going to Downtown. But honestly, I'm thinking of switching.
