My master's is in counseling, let me know if you guys want me to jump in and help everyone get along.
While my wife's Odyssey is not nearly as fun to drive as my 9-3 SE 5-speed with sport exhaust, it was "right priced" in my opinion. At 26.5k, it has the 225hp engine, rear air, CD, TCS, foldaway seat, power doors, alloys etc all included. The guy next door has a Caravan with similar equipment, with a sticker of 29k, but after rebates and discounts, they cost about the same.
From a consumer standpoint, I would almost prefer this price strategy. I got my Saab from Just Saab in Cincinnati, which was a no haggle price, plus any factory incentives. I worked most of that out by fax and e-mail, which saved a day with the sales lizards arguing price.
Hard to say which is the right way to go about it, we'll see in the next few years if Saab makes any adjustments under the General's tutelage.
