If you're thinking of buying a Volvo consider their tourist delivery program. Through 15 April, Volvo will fly you free to Europe to pick up the car (and give you a free night in a hotel) and the prices are much lower than anything you could negotiate at a dealer. I'm looking at an S60 (as well as a 9-3) and the TD price knocks 8% - 9% off sticker. In LA, it seems the dealers pretty much want you to pay sticker so those are big savings off a $30K car. In fact, the TD savings are big enough that you might find you can afford an S60 instead of an S40. Go to http://www.volvocars.com, select the local Canadian site, and work through the tourist delivery menu. TD costs for each model and options, as well as all pick-up and drop-off fees, are buried within. You might be surprised how much you can save. Both the S60 and S40 are made in Belgium but I don't know if you can pick the car up in Ghent or if you have to go to Gothenburg, Sweden. Either way, it's a great deal, and if you can drive in Ontario in March or April you can certainly drive in Sweden. Don't think you can beat the GST when the car arrives in Canada though. Check it out. Of course, Saab has TD as well on the 9-3 but it looks like you save about 7% and they don't include a free ticket to pick up your car. Good Luck.
