9-3 CD changer theories

I have an early 9-3 with the Clarion head unit and the newer style CD changer connection.
The top of the radio labels the CD changer connections and two of them say e-bus in e-bus out.
The new Clarion radios (aftermarket) all went to a new system called Cenet bus. The C is for Clarion and then there is the E bus part. This leads me to think that the new headunit may be pioneer, but may be using the Clarion technology to communicate with the head unit.
Clarion makes a 10 pin Molex (long rectangle) to 13 pin DIN connector called the GM10 adaptor. At the end where the changer hooks up, there is a 12 pin molex. Up at the head unit there is a Ten pin molex where the changer hooks up and there are the same number of wires coming out of the factory molex (every connection not used) as the ones in the Clarion adaptor. On both the power is on one side, the bus in the middle and the signal in is on the other side.
This all makes me think that the new Z line of changers from Clarion may work in the Saabs. Am I sure, no. Will a custom molex have to be built for the back of the radio, yes. Will all of the other plugs work? I don't know. If everything hooks up right, will any of it work? I don't know that either.
I do know this, if there is a chance that we could have a changer in our cars for less than $300 it is worth investigating. My local Calrion dealer (its a small town) will be getting in all of the new Z bus stuff in about three weeks. I am going to try to get everything to work. I would like to have the help of any of you out there. If you have an idea, if you have already tried all of this stuff, then please shoot me down before I waste too much time.
If you have any questions, send them this way and if you would like to do some research on your own, you can hit the Clarion website and do a search for the word "bus" and find the adaptors.
I took the radio out of my dash four days after I bought the car, this is a hobby to me. I also like a challenge. I will keep everyone posted on what happens.
