'01 SE w/ 5 spd. nowhere to be found! Have to order...

Hopefully the $5,500 rebate continues, plus my GM Supplier discount - I am getting an SE for roughly $26,000. That's pretty good in my book for an excellent car.
Unfortunately I am getting two similar, but different stories regarding having to order the car. Both dealerships locally say that an SE w/ 5 Spd is not available in dealer inventory in the Northeast (especially CT). I do not know if they are just trying to sell what they have, but I can't get the car even remotely what I want (Green w/ Charcoal, White w/ Charcoal, Blue w/ Beige) unless I settle for an automatic.
The difference in stories is that one dealer tells me that if I order the car, it is mine regardless of whether the dealer incentives are still in effect in April (when the car would come in). The other dealer is telling me that as long as the car is not some funky combination of options, and is sellable, that I could get my deposit back if the incentives are not still in effect. Neither dealer rep knows whether the incentives will continue into February, much less March and April.
Thanks for letting me bitch.
p.s. My Passat has a leaking headgasket. I am hoping it lasts w/ repairing it until whatever Saab I order comes in.
