Love it! My folks have always enjoyed performance cars as well. My Dad says that one of the reasons he married Mom was that she loved driving his MGA, and drove it well. It must run in the family, her Mom (that would be my Grandmother) had an Olds 442 that she bought new in '68. She says she like the power, it moved "with authority". Talk about the "little old lady from Pasadena"!
I know I'm checking in late and it seems like your Saab questions have been answered, but yes, Saabs seem to have the unique distinction of having lots of body roll, yet are still very firm over bumps. I've autocrossed my SET, and while the body roll is disconcerting, it certainly isn't dangerous. The suspension manages to stay put even though the body is waltzing all over the place.
I noticed on your web page that you're a driving instructor. Is that autocross or a Solo-II type thing? If its autocross, you might want to take your Mom out and give her the opportunity to push her Saab a bit, in a controlled environment. I'm sure she'll be surprised how high it's limits actually are, and she might actually get a kick out of it!
