Hi everybody,
For the record I have a leased 99 9.3 base coupe 17000 miles.
I've been fighting with this "car that pulls to the right" since last summer. After numerous attempts to fix the problem, Saab decided to change the struts, bushings, steering rack, and also the gear box for other reasons. My dealer and the Saab rep. have been very good to me so far.
I was so happy to get my baby back after all this hassle. Unfortunately as soon as i drove it i felt the same problem, plus a clunking noise around the subframe and a new stupid squeaking noise over potholes.
Today I sent a certified letter to Saab. They will have to take the car back and compensate me, or give me another deal on a 2001, or fix it for good , but it's my last try before the lemon law action.
Their legal department should call me back tomorrow.
Anybody that has already dealed with this legal service is welcome to advice me. I need all your input. Thank you in advance.
I know we wrote a lot about suspension problem on models 99 and 2000, but for the record, I'd like every person having the same problem e-mail me or reply on this BB, just to see how many of us are concerned by this defect.
We already know about the PIP showing that Saab is aware of the defect.
If i benefit from this adventure, you should also be heard.
Thank you.
Eric.
P.S:
Deleted rattles and adjustments:
- at the rear seat beam/latch, they decided to put a new beam with all the latch components. The rattle is gone.
- They also changed the fascia between the dash speakers and the squeaking noise is gone.
- Redid the wheelwell coating that was peeled.
- The new gear box is much smoother. Upgraded as they say.
