I have experience dealing with Michelin although not on anything as serious as your case.
I'd be inclined to get to their website, restate your case, and ask for an engineer. My prediction is you'll get the very best advice.
With me, (on a freebee offer; the road kit with a purchase of 4 Alpins) we used the phone a lot to get the problem resolved.
With your configuration, I'd be inclined to get them rotating all the right way, 6,000 miles or no. Then, as you've kept your documentation and can prove Costco "owes you", (and have in hand a written admission) you can deal with them on a replacement basis some years down the piece, after these tires have run their course, even if you're in there with another car altogether.
