You have no legal ground to stand on. You got a good deal on the car and you entered a contract knowing full well that you were going to loose money on depreciation. You just didn't know how much you were going to loose. SAAB did what any car manufacturer does to try and get rid of 2000's left on the lot. Sell them really cheap. I'm sure SAAB did not offer a $10k rebate. I think they offered a $5K rebate and you lost the rest in depreciation. You can't expect to buy/lease a 2000MY car and trade it in even-steven on a 2001MY. I do admit that $10K is a lot of depreciation in a year, but that's the way the market goes.
PS -- I'm probably $10K in the hole too, but I'll just keep driving my SAAB because I'm happy with it.
