Hey, don't get me wrong, I am a Saab fan through and through. I do feel, however, that one doesn't abandon the loyal to pick up new customers. I knew when I bought the Saab that it had a fast depreciation. I also checked with Saab today and there was a 10K rebate offered. Look around, people are getting 5-8k off the sticker price, which means the dealer is keeping anywhere around 2k plus the 1.6k the factory offers for hold-back. NO DEALER is going to sale a car for even a 3k loss. I have done my homework. I will keep my car because I love it. Yet, it is hard to stomach. I have also heard of factories loosing class action cases when they introduce rebates of such a large amount that it devalues a car. In fact, insurance companies in many states must cover the depreciation created when a car has been in an accident. We as consumers do have some protections. Believe me, again, I love my car and the Saab product. I guess with such a small customer base, one would work to keep the people who have been so loyal. This is my third Saab and I have never watched one depreciate so quickly.
