That's what I get from the Saabusa website. Both the Viggen and Aero use the same wheel fitment, albeit in different styles - 49mm offset, 7.5" wide on 17" wheels. The Viggen uses 215/45 tires, where the Aero uses 225/45's. As I beleive the Viggen's potential contact points (strut, wheelwell, etc.) are in the same places as the standard 9-3's, it would seem that the Aero/Viggen wheel fitment calls for slightly shorter and narrower rubber on the 9-3 as opposed to the 9-5. I can't see any problem with using Aero wheels shod with 215/45's on a 9-3. Others on this site, as well as Abbott, have suggested 235/40's on 17" wheels, but I'm not sure if they were using an offset as wide as the Viggen/Aero. On the other hand, the 235/40 combo would yield more width and slightly less height than 215/45, so the question becomes, where does the tire come closest to touching in the first place. Keep in mind, the Viggen successfully runs 215/45 with the Aero/Viggen fitment even though its springs take it lower than the standard 9-3's.
In short, I think 9-3's have plenty of room for wheels n' rubber, but check with an expert before you deviate from simply applying the Viggen fitment formula to your SE.
