Technical FAQ for 1st-generation 9³

Since Dean has posted lots of good technical stuff for NG900 cars, I thought I'd start something like that for the 1st-generation 9³. That's '99 through '02 (including Viggen), plus '03 convertible. Scott hasn't separated the newer 9³SS into its own board, but for technical stuff that's a really different car. When people start taking them apart those can be called "g2" or something like that.

I'll start with some stuff that's actually different than the NG900 cars, for example the hydraulic clutch. Then, for all those things are the same as the NG900, I'll make a few posts with links over to Dean's stuff. (Unless Dean tells me he doesn't like that...)

Maybe when there's a bunch of these, they can be collected into a technical FAQ over at the page I've linked below.

How about this for a template?

When writing a technical FAQ put "9.3.g1_tech" in it so people can search for it more easily. When you tell someone what to search for, type something like "9.3.g1<underscore>tech" so those non-tech posts don't show up in a search.
