tie rods - can I wait?

I just had my front struts replaced and got new tires since the old were badly worn (from the strut issue). I was going to get an alignment at the same time, but the shop guy said that the tie rods are "frozen," so they couldn't do a full alignment. They set the toe, but weren't able to center the steering wheel. The only remedy is to replace the tie rods.

My question is: can I wait on getting the tie rods replaced? It would be much better for me to replace these 3 months from now.
