The new exhaust manifold gasket is in. It turns out 3 studs where broken off in the head. Luckily my mechanic friend was able to get them out after much work. The rough idle / misfiring persists. The exhaust smells rich. I put in new spark plugs this evening, but haven't taken it out on a long ride.

I believe that the ECU is adaptive so it may take awhile for it to adapt to not having an extreme exhaust leak. Does this make sense? I disconnected the battery for a few mins hoping that may help to reset, but no change. Another thought is to test if the DI cassette is functioning properly.

Any other suggestions? Thanks.
