Many thanks. The lure of higher horsepower is tantalizing, but your suggestions are welcome. Suspension pieces have been addressed.
Other parts could use attention. I had the muffler spew its guts out all over the road.
As I recall, the top end issue seems at roughly 4500-5000 rpm (?). However, in normal driving without demands, shifts usually occur around 3000 rpm.
