That's exactly the problem I had for the past year. Never had problems starting when engine (or outside temp) was warm. Towards the end (before the CPS gave out entirely), I had starting problems more and more often when it was cold (say, in the low-mid 50F range).
I replaced with a $30 no-name CPS off ebay a few months ago. No problems so far, though it's probably too early to tell.
It was more of a "let's try this and see if it's the problem" type of thing, which is why I went so cheap. However, I found replacing it simple enough that I decided to leave it in and see how long it lasts. I'll probably get another one as a back-up. I believe the OEM version is around $130, so if this lasts 30K miles, I'm still ahead of the game (original went at just over 100K).
