Please halp with fan speeds

Recently bought a 1994 900s with manual knob air controls. The fan doesn't turn on at all and I was wondering where I should start with the diagnosis. As in when I turn the knob for 1,2,3 etc I get absolutely no fan response whatsoever. Thanks in advance!
