'01 9-3, high temp readings on SID

My '01 'vert, 64k miles, has recently started showing high temperature readings on the SID -- by about 5 - 10 degrees I'd estimate.

Been fine so far, and if its really only the outside temp reading -- its a little annoying, but no biggie.

But I'm wondering if this is a sign of something else -- leaking something?

Could the sensor have come loose and be closer to a heat source than it ought to be (where is it?)

Car runs perfectly otherwise, made a 600 mile round trip last weekend, engine not overheating, etc.
