Directional Signal click & Memory Seat Chime sounds

Greetings!

The directional indicator click sound and memory seat chime (as well as sounds associated with "alerts" displayed on the SID) are absent from my 1999 SAAB 9-3 Viggen. I would like to know whether these sounds can be switched "off" or "on" and I would prefer to have them on. Is it possible the previous owner switched these off?
