Car is a 2002 9-3 convertible. Had the usual symptoms for a CPS failure....wouldn't start when warmed up (crank but no start), dying occasionally on the freeway, let it sit for a while and then it would start again. I removed the old CPS, installed a new one, and the car still won't start. No spark and no fuel pressure. The fuel pump was tested at the fuse box...turn key to on, fuel pump circuit energizes for a few seconds.
I cut the old CPS wiring to removed. I put my crappy volt meter on it and there are open circuits on all three wires which tells me, yes indeed, the old CPS was bad.
Is the new CPS faulty or are there other tests I should do?
