The $60 Control Arm...Anyone have Success?

The last set of OEM control arms lasted me only 3 years on my Viggen. At the time I rebuilt the entire suspension so I thought with everything good an tight it should last longer. Not so with the ball joints in the control arms. The left went first and I bought another OEM arm for just under $300...OUCH!!! The right is now failing.
So I'm starting to think, buy cheap ones and replace them every 2 - 3 years, but will they last that long? I've heard horror stories about the Scan-Tech arms and fluid leaking out of the centre bushing within a few weeks. I've heard good things about Moog, but they seem to be difficult to find and range in price from $50 - $120.
But what about the under $60 arms from brands like Karyln, Raybestos, MAS, ABDTY, Evan-Fischer, Dorman, etc.????? Has anyone ever compared one to an OEM one? Are there really that many manufacturers out there or are they all coming from one or two factories?
My next project will be to see if there is anyway to replace just the ball joint as I'm tried of replacing the entire arm when the bushing are still fine.
