I've done this job twice and advise a heavy duty rivet tool. The rivets are stainless steel and will not cinch up with a regular rivet tool. I've done the job both with a used regulator from a salvage yard and with a repair part from genuinesaab.com. I recommend the repair part. The part comes with the revits. I would not want to try to get my hand in position to tighten a nut using nuts and bolts. Genuinesaab also has a video on installation of their repair part. It simply replaces the broken plastic part with a milled aluminum part. The genuinesaab part is a lifetime repair for the car. While you have the door opened up you might want to apply some rust prevention in the seam in the bottom of the door. I recommend a great Canadian made product called Rust Check. It is made by Rust Check Corp. Mississauga, Ontario Canada. Good luck with the repair. It's not all that hard.
