Stalling at idle but no CEL

Hi,
My 2001 9-3 HOT has developed a weird stalling issue the past couple of weeks. Startup sounds lean and RPMs hover around 2-300 for a few seconds until surging and then settling in at idle. If I put the transmission into reverse there is a 50/50 chance of stalling as I pull out of the parking space.
I ran some Techron through my last tank and rummaged through the engine and found a small hose that had popped off, and reattached it. That seemed to take care of the issue and I have been able to drive it as normal for the past half week or so until today; the car started roughly again, and then stalled a few times at various intersections when at idle. Note that when restarting the engine after a stall it does not start roughly and goes directly to normal idle rpm.
The lack of CEL is confusing. DI Cassette is about a year old, as are the spark plugs, and mileage is ~5-6k/yr. When actually being driven and not being idled it drives fine and pulls strong, gas mileage is normal. My gut says this is probably some sort of vacuum leak or evap purge valve related but many of you know much more about these cars than I do.
Thoughts on what to tackle next?
Cheers.
