Hello,
The purge valve is a possibility. I have seen many that will just stick for a moment or two and cause the car to stall. We used to watch the short term fuel trim at idle could catch the short term reading showing rich for a second or 2 right before the car stalled. Then at start up it would return to normal.
Another thing would be to have the car scanned for codes. Sometimes the codes could still be pending and not showing up and also there are some codes that will not illuminate the check engine light.
Ofcourse a vacuum leak somewhere could be the issue. Another vacuum leak that can be overlooked is the brake booster. Sometimes if you listen from under the dash you can hear a his from the brake booster. Good Luck, Bernie
