I had the same issue with a pop noise happening when first moving in reverse, and esp when turning at very low speeds. I had poly bushing put in the front suspension, and the noise was coming from my inner control arm bushing. The thing would slide forward/backward causing that loud pop sound. I had looked at every single other issue and while I did fix a few things, the issue was this bushing. I'll never use or recommend poly bushings again; just use OEM rubber ones.
One thing that really helped was I used my gopro knockoff and a magnetic mount and aimed it at the suspension and stuck the magnet to the undercarriage near the control/stanchion arm area. Drove the car around my driveway, turned the wheel, etc until I heard the pop, then honked the horn. Then when I did that a few times, I looked at the video on my computer and timed the issue to right before I heard my horn honk and found the culprit.
Good luck!
