Tripod cup wobble

We're replacing a transmission (2001 9-3, FM55-505) with a used one, allegedly with 125k miles. Upon installing the left side driveshaft, we noticed the inner tripod cup has a lots of play. Some sources say that play of 0.8mm is acceptable, but as you can see in the included video, the actual wobble is perhaps 5.0 to 6.0 mm.
There are two items that support the inner driveshaft; the splines from the differential, and the roller bearing with bushing that supports the rotating diff assembly.
The bearing is snug and rotates smoothly. There is some play detectable by finger of the inner splined receiver, however it seems about as I recall from other Saab transmissions, so doesn't seem too bad. Maybe that's not right.
What is the experience of others in dealing with play such as this? One thought is to replace the bushing, but it seems to me the bushing there now isn't particularly worn.
Also, some of what I've read is that this diff is of a semi-floating design. What does that mean in consideration of the amount of play seen in the inner tripod bearing cup?
Thanks, everyone.
