You'll have to negotiate and get the most you can( w/out them totaling it !)- and or buy it back !this stupid &%#@%# (expletive deleted ) is EASY to prevent! I have advised the real solution for this before many times get COLLECTOR CAR INSURANCE! You get an agreed value policy fr someone like Haggarty, et all it pays an agreed amount 0 ZERO deductible ! if your car is totaled!- and will pay for repairs if not totalled the premium is often LESS than regular insurance and these co's are totally professional, won't jerk you around and KNOW older cars. There are some rules-easily lived with - like not your only car, in a garage, fire extinguisher, alarm, sometimes annual mileage limitations I have a Viggen and sure as hell wouldn't use it as a" daily driver "-too valuable -(to me anyway ) but then I see they are becoming "used cars" getting cheaper !(my bro' said there was an abused, beat up Viggen on FB that needed a starter before running for 2,500 $ and another one w/ a blown motor for $900 !) Anyway, get it fixed and get collector car insurance enjoy w/ no worries ! life is short, Every penny they cost us, and every aggravation our saabs may beset us w/ are worth it for what they repay us in exclusivity, the pride of ownership, performance and driving pleasure!
