I bought a 2000 Viggen 'Vert almost four years ago. It gets driven only on nice days during Late Spring thru Mid Fall. I bought it with ~66K miles and after three years of my ownership it has ~75K miles.
I know that my daily driver, a 2008 9-5 with 153K miles miles, and my wife's daily driver, a 2006 9-3SC with 87K miles, will someday need to be replaced. I am hoping my car will last me the final 4-5 years until retirement. Around that time we will probably need to replace her car with a new/newer version of something to be our primary vehicle.
I am hoping I can keep the Viggen as our final SAAB and summertime fun vehicle.
Best of luck in your endeavors to restore your Viggen. From the photos it is definitely worth the time and cost!
