Yea I've been changing mine regularly for years in my Viggen, et all, &the other cars. I bought a new one a few years ago and the filter maker had the wrong application Saab listed on the box (it wouldn't fit the Viggen ) anyway, the maker sent me a case of them FREE as I was the first one to notice and point it out! might seem weird w/ a convertible but it does really help w/ allergy too!(well, tops not always down eh ? ) they even have upscale filters now w/ Activated Charcoal for most cars. now, why doesn't K&N or someone make a washable, reusable one? I suppose it wouldn't work for some reason? PS I usually take everything apart when I do a repair even when there's a shortcut. I like to clean up ALL the parts and brush some" never seize" on all the bolts, studs, nuts, shafts, etc before re-assembly Makes it MUCH easier for the next mechanic, whoever it is ! ( note some fasteners may require locktite as you know )
