If it's well taken care of, then there's no reason not to buy it. There are still plenty of people who know how to work on them, and there's no problem getting parts. Saab's part company was spun off into a company called Orio. Practically every part is still available, except for some interior pieces, but that's what junkyards are for. There are tons of aftermarket engine and suspension parts, too. That being said, there are problem areas on these cars. If it's a 2000-2003 convertible, then make sure it had regular oil changes with full synthetic and has the latest PCV system update installed, and have the oil pan dropped if possible. They were known for getting sludge in the pan, which clogs the oil pickup and destroys the engine due to low oil pressure. If it's a 1999, then there's no issue with that. The hydraulic tops were also very complicated, so make sure that works properly.
