Surprising when you see it but normal, other items.... There are a couple other items with the convertible when the top is down. The most annoying for me is that the door button for the trunk release will not work when the top is lowered. I understand perfectly why this is so, and I appreciate the added security of knowing no one will be able to rifle through my trunk if I park the car somewhere with the top down, but I am often frustrated by this added feature when trying to open the trunk in my garage if the top is down. Being a third car, I seldom have the convertible's key fob in my pocket.
I think there is something about the rear seat latch too. You may be able to release the rear seat latch without a key when the top is raised (I can't remember for sure), but you MUST use the key to release the rear seat latch if the top is lowered.
There is a lot of storage capacity in the chamber/bag for the folded top if you need to carry a bunch of light weight items and the trunk is just too small. I am sure the Owners Manual warns against this, but the space is there. Activate the top switches just long enough to fold up the rear window and lift the tonneau cover, place light weight items in the top bag, then reclose the tonneau and top.
