There is no easy stereo solution in the OG9-3. The opening in the dash is not double DIN - you need to cut away a fair amount of plastic to make it fit. The space for the bezel is not quite double DIN either, you essentially need to lose the cup holder in order for that to work. "Fully" fitting a double DIN stereo requires a fair amount of hack & slash.
Nobody sells a dash kit for a single DIN stereo for the OG9-3 anymore - not Crutchfield, not the folks in Europe. Crutchfield recommends a kit intended for some Y2K Hondas. It doesn't fit either, requiring modification to the dashboard and/or the kit.
There are some depth limitations - the HVAC plumbing can make wiring difficult, but if you remove the whole SID and the ACC you get the wiring sorted for the stereo and then put the SID & ACC back in. It's not a huge chore.
The wiring itself is the least of your problems. The Saab stereo uses totally standard ISO connectors which most Y2K-ish German cars (eg VAG) used so it's easy to source. The antenna is a standard Euro as well - you just need a Motorola (most stereos) to VAG antenna adapter.
Below is what the "Crutchfield single DIN" solution looks like. Just did this in an '01. Required some heavy modification to the Honda dash kit. It's fine but not great. I did not modify the car at all.
