excess noise and vibration on front end on highway Posted by thomas333639 [Email] (#1880) [Profile/Gallery] (more from thomas333639) on Tue, 27 Feb 2018 10:03:25 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
My front end on my 2001 9-3 SE, in which I installed a 2.3L HOT, is making lots of noise and vibrating slightly more than normal (which, normally, is not at all). I thought that maybe it was the studded snow tires, until I noticed that if I turn slightly to the right, like shifting lanes, the noise and vibration disappears. Pulled over and found that the power steering fluid reservoir was quite low, so filled it. Little less noise but still way more than it should be, and will disappear if turn slightly right. What is going on? Could it be the front wheel bearings? Instead of the power steering?
