I agree get the 9-3 it's much more refined and sophisticated, the T7 motor is smooth and it is a wonderful evolution of the H motor the Head alone is a masterpiece of Volumetric efficiency. The improvements of the 9-3 are worth the looking over a NG900 , you also get some extra safety features as well .
Coming from 18 years in '97 9000 Aero 5 speed and driving a 2001 9-3 se I decided I wanted some specific things . I wanted an Automatic at this point in my life especially dealing with traffic ,ni also wanted the Aero amenities I was use to. I wanted a convertible , I did not want a Viggen (the wild child) I had had that thrill in the 9000 Aero. My search led me to an '03 9-3 SE convertible automatic ,with the optional Sport package which was only available as an option that year . This is the Aero version available in Europe '00 to '02 . I must say the search and wait was worth it , I couldn't be happier , smooth refined , sporty and a unique Look . It comes with a nice list of items , Sport steering , wheel , carbon fiber dash, Lear designed Seats used in Viggen , Aerodynamic body work used on Viggen , 17" wheels alu 36 double Y design . I found a mint used one with low miles on Saab net , had it shipped to me over 4 years ago. Yes the 4 speed automatic is very reliable and light years better than C900 and the Sport button will make you smile.
