What a coincidence Noel! I don't have an OBD scanner on my car, but the SID was randomly saying "Tighten fuel filler cap"... so i suspected a vac leak of some kind...
Took off the plastic cover over the throttle body and followed that same hose as you are describing. From the valve cover nipple (what is that (black) valve nipple called... help me with the acronyms? which valve is which acronym?)... that hose then goes into that one way (white) check valve (what's that one called/acronym?) ... and then to the Throttle Body as Bernie says.
You MAY HAVE missed it... there are 2 nipples (maybe more? Bernie) there side by side. and one is harder to see/reach than the other... Here is a pic where i've pulled it off and you'll need to push it back on with needle nose to get down and in there...
