Rustproofing and rusted brake lines Posted by bender [Email] (#268) [Profile/Gallery] (more from bender) on Sun, 12 Aug 2018 06:26:29 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
We never rustproofed the car because the previous owner had some holes drilled which ironically caused some rust. Perhaps, though, it could have been rustproofed without drilling holes and it would have been good for it.
I was down there changing the rear muffler, and goodness, compared to my Viggen that isn't driven in winters, everything is rusting away. I'm really concerned about the brake lines. They're really rusting. Very concerning.
What are other's experiences like? Is it worth starting to get it rustproofed now? Should the brake lines be changed or do they have a few years left in them? Is this the start of the end? So many little things...
