I learned that lesson as a kid, the hard way. I'd borrowed my Dads International Scout to go over to my girlfriends house one snowy night. With four paws and tall off-road tires, that thing would go anywhere. But, I took one corner too fast and when it pushed wide, I stomped on the brakes and to my amazement, it slid right for the outside curb, hitting it hard enough to bend the rim and break a weld on the frame. Needless to say, Dad was not pleased.
