My theory...

I'm looking for feedback here, not just an opportunity to soapbox.
I'm on my 2nd NG900, a '95 900SE convertible. My first was a '95 900S 3door. I bought the first with 86K miles and the convertible with 54K. Before that, I had an '87 900S which I bought with 97K on it. I never had any major problems with either 900S (the convertible is 3 months old, to me), and put 40K+ on each.
Here's the theory (not earth shattering): Buy Saabs after they're out of warranty. Why? Because the previous owner has already done all of the niggling work that people who don't participate on this BB constantly complain about (rattles, leaks, bad electrics, window motors, etc.). Sure, you don't have the protection of the warranty, but the cars are such a bargain at that point, isn't it worth the risk? Moreover, you can do all the performance mods you want, and not have to worry about voiding the warranty. Leave the low mileage, still-covered under warranty models to the more faint of heart.
Thoughts?
