How mechanically inclined are you? The rear brakes are easy to work on, especially with a shop manual in hand. You can replace pads in about half an hour (per side), and a set of rear pads should run between $40 and $50. Technically, you should surface the rotors anytime new pads are installed, but I never do. If the rotor is scored or groved, then just replace it, if not then I'd say just leave it alone. I found replacement Brembo rotors for about $50 each, others have found them a few dollars cheaper.
