>Even though you haven't owned a N/A 2.3 with the sport exhaust installed.

I HAVE owned a 1994 900S (NA engine) and it developed a small hole after the primary muffler... IT WAS SO OBJECTIONABLY LOUD I HAD TO FIX IT (even though it was being "pre-muffled")!!

In contrast I now own a 1996 900 SE Turbo and I punctured the flex pipe coming out of the catalytic converter... It was barely objectionable at all even though it was bypassing the entire sport exhaust system!

>I find it humorous that you base your argument on speculation and hearsay.

Bull----. I know the theory behind turbos and muffler systems and why turbo acts as a muffler in and of itself. Ask anyone who KNOWS something about these cars and they'll defend my side. The NA engine will ALWAYS ALWAY ALWAYS sound louder! To a lot of people "this is not good"... By the letter of the law "this is illegal". Cops can HARASS you for this! You can fail an inspection... and you're wasting your money too.

And you did all this because you wanted a stainless steel exhaust? Is THAT your only defense? Pretty weak if you ask me. Did you know that Saab now sells an improved exhaust system for NA 900's that has a "Lifetime Warranty"? Yup... It's cheaper than the Sport Exhaust, it doesn't sound bad, and it's DESIGNED for the car. How about them apples...

And finally you said:
>I hardly find it a big mistake purchasing a N/A car.

Oh, but you DID make a mistake... There are next to ZERO available performance mods that you can do on your NA engine... On a turbo the sky is the limit... Very easy to tweak. And a lot more fun than an obnoxious sounding car! ;-)
